What I Write

Ever since I was a little girl, writing has been a part of my life. From diaries to prized book reports as a 10-year-old, I always loved the written word. Though my 10-year career in corporate communications has slowed to a halt so I can stay at home and raise our babies (Thank You Lord, and thank you Troy!), I still employ through contract writing and freelance.

I have been published in local magazines, newspapers, university alumni magazines, and had the privilege of being editor of an alumni magazine for three years. My passion is to hear other’s stories, share mine, and see how we can inspire one another to fulfill the purpose God created us for!

This little blog has evolved since 2008 when I began writing. It started as a way to tell my travel stories when I moved to England. It then morphed into devotionals, single life tales, then on in to married life, motherhood and inspiration on natural living and home.

Three years ago, in 2018, I felt a leading to lay it down and lost all desire to write. The Lord took me (and has me on) a healing journey, and only until recently (2021) have I even wanted to write again!

So here I am. Just writing to create. To speak. With no goal of building a platform or business or become an influencer, but purely just to write for the sake and beauty of words.

My self-published books, After I Do and Just a Minute, can be viewed and purchased here. Both books can also be found in eBook format on Apple iBooks or Amazon Kindle. To learn more about my latest children’s book series, Annabelle’s Red Shoes and Annabelle’s Red Dress, you can visit here.
