Get to know me

I love creating a life for my family, and sharing my musings from home!

In between warmed-up cups of coffee and episodes of Ted Lasso, you’ll find my carpenter husband and I loving our small-town life and raising two sweet girls. Whilst we dream of hopping on an airplane and adventuring overseas as a family, we believe in hard work, prayer, and doing the best you can with where you’re at.

I’ve literally had a blog since before blogging replaced websites and they were a cool thing to do (legit, a friend jokingly bought me a t-shirt in my early 20’s that said, “No one cares about your blog”. I proudly wore it 😉 )

Between travel and corporate life, and then on into marriage and motherhood, I continued a lifestyle blog until 2018, when I felt the nudge to take a break and rest my heart for a while; stop producing. During that time I began learning and playing with watercolour, and even opened an Etsy shop! You can find two of my earlier self-published books here, and my latest children’s booksAnnabelle’s Red Shoes, Annabelle’s Red Dress and Annabelle’s Red Mittens.

And over the last few years, as I began writing again, it was purely for the sake of words. With no intent to grow a giant platform, but to connect with others, and even myself, just by writing. May you be blessed by sitting in this space with me. These days, I am a full-time homeschooling mama trying to find pockets of time for creativity and outdoor adventures with my family.

I do the occasional email to let readers know about new Etsy products and to connect creatively, so please subscribe here to follow along!

That’s the most important thing…being yourself.
